Directed Retreats

In a directed retreat a director is assigned to each retreatant. In meeting the director each day the retreatant is aided in:

•noticing the reality of God's presence and activity
•coming to trust what has been noticed
•responding to this presence and activity

Prayerful reflection, often with Sacred Scripture, in an environment of complete silence is the usual setting for this process. There is no preset pattern for a directed retreat. The director and the retreatant try to be sensitive and responsive to where the retreatant is in his or her journey with God. The director's role is to support the retreatant in the movements of his or her journey as these movements emerge in the retreatant's prayer. As you prepare to come for your retreat, we invite you to be open and generous in your desire to spend these days with the Lord in quiet recollection.

Please plan to arrive in time for dinner at 5:45 p.m. on the first evening of the retreat. The retreat ends with lunch on the last day. Mass is offered on all but the first day.

Reservations for all directed retreats must be made at least one week before the start of the retreat.

In addition to our regularly scheduled directed retreats, please feel free to contact us to arrange for a private retreat, or individually directed retreat.

Weekend Directed Retreats
Cost: $155 Deposit: $50

Campion Center staff will be available the following weekends for individuals wishing to make a weekend directed retreat. Retreats begin with dinner at 5:45 on Friday and end with Eucharist and lunch on Sunday. Please note that reservations for weekend directed retreats must be made at least one week before the start of the retreat.
