Prayer Walks:

Several areas in and around the Campion Renewal Center grounds lend themselves to quiet reflection. These include the following:

  • The Jesuit Cemetery is a place to reflect on the “cloud of witnesses” who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith. The cemetery is just down the hill to the southeast.
  • The Way of the Cross circles the Jesuit Cemetery
  • The Weston Conservation Area is adjacent to the Campion Center property on the south and the east and contains many hiking and riding trails.
  • The Weston Observatory grounds contain both the Boston College seismographic observatory and an outdoor mini-museum of some of the geologic wonders of southeastern New England. The observatory is behind the Mansion to the northeast.
  • The Pond perimeter offers a walk of less than two miles. Go down the hill past the cemetery and turn left on the dirt road. Go past the tennis courts and the soccer field. Take a right and loop around the marsh and pond going through a pine forest finally coming to Concord Road.
