Following a career in higher education, Cheryl Wright came to Campion Center in January 2015 as the Manager of Human Resources and Payroll. Having worked closely with Jesuits in the past, Cheryl relished the idea of becoming part of the mission-driven Campion Center and its promise to its residents of excellent care, respect and compassion.
Raised in blue-collar Brighton along with her seven siblings, Cheryl attended the parish school and was fortunate to begin her university studies at nearby Boston College. She accepted a full-time position at Boston College and continued her studies on a part-time basis, earning two Master’s degrees while guiding hundreds of students through to their own graduation. Additional responsibilities included interviewing part-time faculty, office staff and student employees, as well as managing timekeeping and payroll for the department. In 2009, in appreciation of her work with Boston College’s part-time students, a scholarship named in Cheryl’s honor was endowed so others could benefit from her years of selfless service.
Cheryl has parlayed the charge of Boston College, Men and Women for Others, into her day-to-day practice at Campion Center. Her commitment to all—applicants, employees, and residents—is readily apparent in the care and concern for their work-life and general well-being.
Cheryl still resides in Brighton, enjoys her family, Cape Cod and boating and is overjoyed when all three are combined.
