William J. MacDonald III, Assistant Controller came to Campion Center in March 2021 after working for more than 25 years in a fast paced, high growth public and private companies. He has vast experience with implementing new accounting systems and managing accounting functions in a variety of different industries. William has worked in the marine transportation services, medical devices, footwear and apparel, preclinical services, international consulting, and architecture, engineering, & construction management industry.
During his short tenure here at Campion Center, he has taken his vast accounting knowledge and applied it to the financials, budgets, and audits. He has also been very helpful to Jesuits with accounting questions or handling all the fleet of automobiles here on site.
William graduated from Merrimack College with a degree in Political Science. He also played division 1 hockey for Merrimack. William continued his studies at New England College of Business and Finance (affiliate of Bentley University) and received career concentration certificates in Accounting and Finance, Auditing, and Branch Management. In William’s younger years he graduated from Austin Prep High School, where he made the honor role each semester and played division 1 hockey for them as well.
William and his wife, Judy enjoy spending time in Maine at the beach and lake. They also enjoy taking walks with their English Bulldog Cooper. William also enjoys water sports, traveling, antique cars, sports, and boating.
